Eat Less, Lose More? By Personal Trainer London

I have worked with many personal training courses clients over the years who, when we first met, believed that the fewer calories they consumed throughout the day, the easier it would be for their bodies to burn off their existing fat stores. This article is therefore designed to shed light on this common assumption that by taking in less calories one will end up losing fat and inches from
having fewer calories to burn off.
Personal Trainer in London

Ok, if your body is burning more calories than you are consuming then yes, you are likely to lose weight by creating a caloric deficit. How this deficit is created, however, will influence the type of weight that you lose!

By not eating enough calories the body will interpret the messages your hormones are sending to your brain as food being scarce. It then goes into famine mode and will respond by storing as much fat as it can in order to protect itself.

Any weight lost will therefore be water or muscle tissue which would be very bad news for your metabolism and the rate at which we are burn fat. When on a very-low-calorie diet, the levels of the hormone leptin (which controls hunger and helps us to feel full) drop dramatically. This then triggers the release of the stress hormone Cortisol which can cause sugar cravings. The levels of cortisol within the body will also affect its insulin response, meaning you are more likely to store fat when these levels are raised. A pretty great reason to relax if you want to lose body fat!

This is why it is generally best to eat little and often, ideally going no longer than three hours without food in order to optimise your metabolism. This is because we are more likely to store fat when the metabolism has nothing to do. Our blood sugar levels will also hit rock bottom when going without food for longer than three hours. I have had a fair few personal training clients who have now got into this new habit and it has done wonders for their fat loss.

A sensible calorie deficit can thus be created by eating little and often and choosing foods that are less calorie dense but greater in volume. This way, we feel fuller for longer and never hungry or deprived. Examples include vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains such as quinoa rather than rice. I do not advocate the idea of reading the calorie content of every food label but if it contains sugar (or dextrose, maltose, sucrose or fructose – a good rule of thumb is that most words ending in ‘ose’ mean sugar!) it would do you good to avoid it. It also helps to know that when you are eating correctly the body will naturally rebalance itself to a healthy weight.
Become a Personal Trainer

In order to eat sensibly, think about what you are likely to be doing and when throughout the course of the day in order to plan what you can eat. That way you will be able to avoid consuming more calories than you are burning and won’t have to worry about counting calories for the day. Getting into the habit of preparation has given my personal training clients some great results, and it is just a matter of practice.

Constantly trying to keep track of every calorie consumed does not generate a relaxed attitude towards food, yet a no-stress approach to eating is more likely to be successful in the long-run, which is this is what I try to encourage with my clients in between personal training sessions.

I hope this helps shed light on how to create a sensible calorie deficit, as well as how it can and should be a way of life rather than a temporary diet solution. By following the 90% rule and eating healthily 90% of the time and allowing the other 10% for other foods you wouldn’t eat on a day to day basis (such as a once a week ‘cheat meal’) you can create a healthy balance of food without feeling like you are depriving yourself.

If you have found this article useful please feel free to pass it on to anyone else you feel might benefit from it.

‘Til next time, stay focused and keep up your great work!

London Personal Training
Fitness Professionals, Your Country Needs You!

Are you willing to listen?

I
have been a qualified personal trainer for 8 years now and I am no 6 or
7 figure earner…..BUT, I have passion! Passion to make a difference!

For
the last 4 years I have been studying the papers and magazines, using
articles to back up my own project to help people lose weight.

Yes,
you may have noticed, that we are in the grip of an “obesity pandemic”.
A “ticking timebomb” is going to go off and we are at the precipice of
the “tipping point”.

All nice, fancy words, but what is being
done? The government talks a good game, but not one of the parties in
power wants to be perceived as introducing a nanny state. Therefore, as
“fitness professionals”, I believe it is up to us to take this “problem”
by the fat and help people that want to be helped.

I’m not
perfect, but I have passion and I am trying to make an impact on my own,
like many of you.We all try and make a difference in our own small part
of the country. A journey starts with the first step is a quote we all
use when chatting to clients. But radical change requires radical
action. And this country needs radical changes!

We can come
together and make not only take the industry to a new level, but also
our lives! None of us can do it alone. Change won’t happen if we all
work to the same goal, yet do it as individuals….This brought me to
thinking…..We need a Fat fighting team, like the Avengers!

Individually they are all successful and have their unique powers.

Tony
Stark/Iron Man – As Iron Man possesses powered armor that gives him
superhuman strength and durability, flight, and an array of weapons. Is
an inventive genius whose expertise in the fields of mathematics,
physics, chemistry.
Steve Rogers / Captain America – A World War II
veteran who was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an
experimental serum.
Peter Parker/Spiderman – A bite from a
radioactive spider on a school field trip causes a variety of changes in
the body of Peter Parker and gives him superpowers such as the ability
to cling to walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense (“spider-sense”)
that alerts him to danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, as well as
superhuman speed and agility. Some of his comic series have him shooting
webs from his wrists.
Some great individual powers but they also
experience troubles fighting alone! Collectively, however, they come
together to fight the enemies no single one of them can tackle
individually.

Our country’s obesity problem is a problem we cannot tackle individually!

It’s
funny, this was actually a presentation topic I had earmarked to
somehow “perfect” and present at the 2013 Fitness Entrepreneurs
Bootcamp. I have never been to FEB before and was somehow looking to get
in with some of the movers and shakers so that I could present in 2013.

But
you know what, I cannot wait that long! Sure, this may not be as
impactful reading from a computer, but I hope the message is just as
poignant and strikes a chord.

I got into the fitness world because I thought it would bring riches!

So far, I am still waiting.

I
know plenty of you are raking it in, and this may bring you happiness;
the ability to control your lives and the ability to work as few hours
as you want. Personally though, the riches I now crave are not money.
Corny as it may sound, I want to make a difference! A real difference,
not just marketing chat!

I am not an expert, a guru, or an
industry legend. But as part of a team I believe I can fulfil what it is
I believe I have been put on this earth to do. I believe that all the
skills I have, the setbacks I have experienced and the passion I have
inside have been put upon me to make me…well, me! Somebody who can and
will make a difference!

I really hope that others feel the same
way. If you are in this industry to make a quick buck, this idea is
probably not for you….I am looking to form a team that is looking for
something else. A team that can make themselves indispensable to this
and any government that comes after. A team that may have to invest some
money to get up and running and maybe even lose some money in the short
term. But this team will come good, because this team will bring
together a whole host of specialist skills which individually are great,
but together can be life changing – not just for us involved, but for
those we can help.

By making ourselves indispensable to the
country we will open up the flood gates to untold riches. I’m not
talking 6 or 7 figures, I’m talking the sorts of riches that the likes
of Andrew Carnegie and John D Rockefeller amassed! (If you have never
heard of either of them, then get onto “Google”.)

Beyond
the money, we will cement a legacy that will never be frittered away.
The money doesn’t last, but what you did with your life will.

Here my call and join the team.

The fat fighting avengers!

Who’s with me?

“Avengers Assemble!”

Thanks
Fitness News

Hi, I am freelancer writer of this article.
4 Things You Should Ask About Personal Trainer Certification Programs

1. Pre-Requisites to Certification

Before starting on the direction towards certification, check the specifications for the system. Most personal trainer certification programs need that the selection be at least 18 years of age and have a secondary school diploma. Many also need the selection be CPR/AED qualified, and some even need the selection already have fitness experience. If you are new to personal training or absence CPR/AED qualifications, you may want to either choose your qualifications program based upon your current conditions or first acquire the essential encounter and/or certifications that the personal training Courses program needs before starting the particular system.

2. Materials are offered by the Certification Agency

Many personal training Courses programs offer adequate components to help both new and professional personal trainers obtain the knowledge needed to become qualified. Whether it is a multi-day workshop, guides, internet sources, or practice examinations, many of the applications are full of study components, some of which are involved in the costs of certification.

3. Expected Costs

The expenses of a Fitness Training Courses program can differ not only among programs themselves, but also among the person applicants. If you are new to personal training, it is likely that you are going to end up investing more on qualifications than your more-seasoned alternatives. The simple reason is that the classes, guides, exercise examinations, and other components all have a price. Taking the examination is expensive, too. Some instructor qualifications programs will allow you to buy your items independently, significance that you can select to pay only for the examination, or you can buy the examination plus a number of extra sources. Others need that you purchase the examination with all the research helps in one large package, making it simpler to determine your predicted expenses, but of course more challenging to customize customize the buys to your particular needs.

You also need to aspect in your upcoming expenses for training programs and recertification examinations, which will likely occur every two or three decades. If you fall short your examination, you have to pay to retake it, too.

4. What will this Certification Get Me?

A job. Authenticity. Long term pleasure. Well, maybe not the last one, but it is likely that getting your personal training courses certification will help you area or keep a job, and provides you with some legitimacy with your customers. Moreover, if the personal trainer certification system is worth the money you compensated for it, you will also get with the qualifications some really important abilities that will help you become a better instructor. You will learn how work with people to help them exercise, execute health and health and fitness assessments and area assessments, and make appropriate suggestions to your customers. You will even get to add a few characters after your name. So maybe instructor qualifications applications can even provide you with everlasting pleasure.
